We are providing a platform to unheard voices from marginalized communities to celebrate their heritage and culture. Through this day we are reviving the stories that do not get their due recognition and are forgotten.

Did you know that Upma, a south Indian Dish has a story behind it? Padmini, an educational, puppeteer, storyteller, and a research scholar will be joining us on 22nd August to narrate a poem on Upma and its preparation.
There are plenty of unsung heroes in our country. Listen to this true story, narrated by Jagruti, a school teacher from Gujrat, as she tells us about a Brave Revolutionary.

Tapas comes from the region of Malwa in M.P. He sings verses of saints and fakir, primarily Kabir. He also practices sustainable architecture.
He is a local artist who performs local folk songs of various festivals in Uttarakhand.

Padma Shri Joravarsinh Jadav
A renowned Indian folklorist, Joravarsinh Ji has worked extensively in the vertical of folk culture and spreads awareness about the folk culture of Gujarat. He has published more than 90 works on folk arts and literature. He was awarded the Padma Shri in 2019.
Padma Shri Vijay Sharma
A renowned painter and also an art historian, Vijay Ji is a founder member of the Kangra Arts Promotion Society. He is a propagator of the Pahari Style of painting and has published several books and articles. He was awarded the Padma Shri in 2012.
